What to Expect
Storytelling Nights
Intimate evenings where 4–6 people from the archive take the stage and share their story in their own words. No moderator. No interruptions. Just a person, a microphone, and a room full of people who came to listen.
Community Gatherings
We travel to a community — a village, a neighbourhood, a fishing port — and spend a day listening. These are not events for an audience. They are conversations between equals.
Open Submissions
Twice a year, we open the archive to nominations from the public. Anyone can nominate anyone. The only criterion: a life worth hearing about. Which is to say — every life.

Storytelling Night
Six founders. Six stories. One evening in a room that smelled of chai and ambition. The first People of Odisha live event brought together an audience of 200 to hear stories that had never been told on a stage before.

Puri
Community Gathering
A listening session with fishing communities along the Puri coastline. Not a panel. Not a conference. Just chairs in a circle, and people who had never been asked to speak in public, speaking.

Launch Event
People of Odisha began as a conversation in a tea stall in Cuttack. The launch brought that conversation into a room — and invited Odisha to join it.
