People of Odisha
People of Odisha is a documentary photography and storytelling project dedicated to capturing the lives, voices, and faces of the people of Odisha — one of India's most culturally rich and underrepresented states.
Inspired by Brandon Stanton's Humans of New York, this project believes that every person has a story worth telling — the tribal artisan in Malkangiri, the startup founder in Bhubaneswar, the fisherman in Puri, the student in Kalahandi who became an IIT topper.
We walk the streets, the villages, the markets, and the campuses of Odisha with a camera and an open ear. We ask people one question: What's your story?
The answers have surprised us every time.
Know someone in Odisha with a remarkable story? Or do you have one yourself? We'd love to hear from you.
